Abstract: This article analyzes the issues surrounding inclusive education as it relates to children with disabilities," issues concerning including students with disabilities in ordinary schools. Some important Nigerian historical events that support inclusive education are discussed. The author points out recent issues and challenges of inclusive education and identifies some important implementation strategies that if properly carried out, will result to dramatic change in the present situation of inclusive education in Nigeria. The article concludes with recommendations to resolve the issues at hand.
