Description: | The health of a nation‘s economy not only influences its democratic values, but actually determine the stability of its democratic institutions. In the heart of a nation‘s economy lies the discourse of how its resources are managed. While democracy itself presents expectations of how institutions should ideally be managed, the results of adopted management strategies will go a long way in determining how stable the polity will be. The Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Jos has a long history of presenting platforms for engagements on topical issues. The conference in which papers contained here are presented in one of such platforms. These papers contain empirical research results on diverse topics related to the management of resources. The papers not only advance findings on relevant critical issues, but will instigate more critical reasoning, which may lead to further studies during and after the conference engagements. |
